For those of you who don’t know, it’s Joyful January! (Check out last year’s post, in case you missed it.) I mainly talked about the importance of realizing what makes you happy and actually doing what you love.
One of the things that makes me happy (probably #1 on my list) is food. So I figured it’s time for me to start cooking more. I started out with pasta which is my fave, but I have worn it out. Penne, Bowtie, Alfredo, Marinara. Don’t get me wrong, I could eat it everyday (pasta is pretty much how I survived my last few years of college), but it’s time to expand my horizons.
If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have noticed that I have already attempted this challenge. Every now and then I will post a picture to my story with the caption #NotPasta. Since I always feel so accomplished when I make something “new” (usually something I learned from Pinterest).
Moving forward, I have decided that I will start including those posts here on my blog. Here is what you can expect:
- List of ingredients
- Total cost (most likely will be based on Bi-Lo prices with bonus card, since I am a frequent shopper there)
- Pictures of what to buy and the end product
It won’t be Chrissy Teigen quality, but I hope that it will help you guys with making your own easy and affordable dinners/snacks.
Stay tuned!
I knew you were secretly a top chef, keep up the great work!
