For those of you who are new to my blog, I want you to understand why I started writing. In addition, you can check out my first post: The Reason. My aim has evolved to mean much more.
I’d be lying if I said this blog wasn’t created for women in particular. I think it’s apparent that women suffer from many pressures to look or act a certain way. Not to say that men don’t. At this point, I just hope to help anyone who comes across my posts.
The main thing I want to do is develop the beauty within. Because once you realize your potential, anything is possible. It won’t matter what the media or your peers have to say about you or what you should be. I do this by sharing my personal experiences and including a lesson on how you and I can improve our self-esteems. I don’t know about you, but I find it way easier to learn something when it is tied to a real life story.
I should mention that I am studying Public Health in college, which is a very broad field. I now understand that body image and mental health are extremely important to physical health. I literally just read an article for class that claimed cortisol (stress hormone) and mental health problems are linked to poor health and health inequalities. So I want to help you work on your health, from the inside out.
It’s such a great feeling to know that I am in loan debt for something I truly love.
