Breathe! Yes, inhale and exhale. Breathing is literally the first step if you’re looking to relieve stress or anxiety. It helps to improve your blood flow and in turn gets oxygen to your brain, calming the nervous system. This is why I enjoy yoga and highly recommend it. It teaches you how to breathe deeply and just let go. I had to use this technique recently when I showed up to a 7 a.m. yoga class that was canceled. I got in my car, reclined the seat, and meditated for thirty minutes. As a result, I felt unbothered by the situation.
Close your eyes. Inhale through your nose 1…2…3… exhale 1…2…3…4…
