Things I Want To Do More Of

In my post Following The Signs , I talk about the importance of trying new things. I am realizing that there are a few random hobbies that I would love to add to my life. Why I haven’t dived into these things yet is a mystery. I figured if I wrote them out like a goal list, I would be more likely to pursue them. I would also be very happy if you guys were willing to help me out by giving me tips on how to make these hobbies a reality. Here they are!

Modeling
Whenever I do mini photo shoots for fun with friends, I get comments from family saying that I should model. I even remember being in the 5th grade and having a Piggly Wiggly employee tell my mom to get me involved in modeling. It seems like so much fun to me. I’m leaning more towards photography modeling rather than runway modeling. Mostly because I am terrible at walking in heels and keeping my serve face constant. I can see myself now, giggling on the catwalk.

Side Hustling
I feel like I’m never making enough money with my one job during the school year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work where I do. I just want to do something that my fellow college students need that I can provide at a discounted price. Something that is time consuming, that makes someone say, “I’d pay someone to do this for me.” Since I’ve started doing my own twist outs, I feel that I would be capable of making that my side hustle.

Dancing
I know most of my friends will be happy to see this one. This is something I’ve done before for years at a time. I would love to get back into it. But this time around, I want it to be less stress. I just want to go to a studio a few times a week and learn a few combos. Also, I want to explore genres that are more relaxed and carefree. Maybe more hip hop and contemporary. I’ve always struggled with showing emotion when I danced, which is one of the reasons why I stopped completely. Now, I’m willing to try again. Plus, dance was my form of exercise and I need to get up and get moving!
